Hong Kong China Rugby (HKCR) today unveiled the new limited-edition jerseys that the Hong Kong China Sevens teams will wear at the upcoming Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.
Created to commemorate the tournament’s 50th anniversary, the design pays tribute to the very first kit worn by a Hong Kong team in the competition. While the modern game has evolved toward streamlined performance apparel, replacing the traditional baggy cotton jerseys with oversized sleeves, the 2026 edition reintroduces elements of that classic aesthetic. The jersey features a sleek silhouette, and a contrasting vintage collar, blending heritage with contemporary performance.
Honouring the tournament’s golden milestone, a golden dragon shines proudly over the heart, symbolising Hong Kong’s rugby legacy. The years 1976–2026 are also emblazoned on the sleeve in shining gold, marking five decades of one of the world’s most iconic rugby sevens tournaments.
