HKSEVENS 2025

DATES AND VENUE FOR THE CATHAY/HSBC HONG KONG SEVENS

When: 28 – 30 March 2025


Where: Kai Tak Stadium (38 Shing Kai Rd, Kai Tak). Kai Tak Sports Park is located near the Kai Tak MTR Station and Sung Woi Toi MTR Station. Fans are able to reach the precinct in a 10-15 minute walk from either station.


What: Ready for a star-studded show?

Friday: Gates open at 7:30am, with youth and mini teams taking to the pitch first thing each morning. Firing up the festivities that evening are Cantopop group RubberBand – they'll be taking centre stage during our traditional opening ceremony.


Saturday:
Gates open at 7:15am. Italian icon and 'Freed From Desire' singer GALA will be setting the pace that afternoon with a singalong you won't want to miss! In the evening, legendary DJ Pete Tong will be bringing Ibiza to Kai Tak with his dancefloor anthems.


Sunday:
Gates open at 8:15am and teams will be duking it out in the finals all day long. Once the party’s in full swing, English indie rock legends Kaiser Chiefs will be taking centre stage. Expect a set filled with belt-it-out bangers!

Men’s SVNS: New Zealand, Argentina, Australia, Fiji, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Kenya, Spain, South Africa, Uruguay, USA.


Women’s SVNS: New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Fiji, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan, Spain, USA.


In the Melrose Claymores, Hong Kong China Men will take on China and Japan, while Hong Kong China Women will face Kazakhstan and Thailand.

GETTING THERE

TRANSPORT TO KAI TAK SPORTS PARK

Kai Tak Sports Park is situated in the heart of Hong Kong with excellent connectivity – easily accessible from the CBD with a 30-minute catchment area covering Central, Tsim Sha Tsui tourist and business hub, Kowloon East and major New Territories residential areas.


In addition to the 10-15 minute walk from two MTR stations, fans can take multiple bus routes and public light buses from near KTSP to various districts in Kowloon, Hong Kong Island and the New Territories. The park features a taxi stand and parking spaces (subject to availability) for coach buses and private cars. Nearby shopping malls in Kai Tak also offer public parking facilities.


With a harbourfront Dining Cove and over 70 restaurants within walking distance, the post-match party will continue well after the close of play!
