Where will the 2026 Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens be held?

Kai Tak Stadium will be staging our event from 17-19 April 2026, following the Sevens move to our new home in March 2025. The address is located at 38 Shing Kai Rd, Kai Tak.

What facilities does the stadium offer to fans?

Kai Tak Sports Park’s Main Stadium is a 50,000-seat venue with world-class facilities that enhance the vibrant atmosphere of the Sevens. The stadium is equipped with a soundproof retractable roof, with an in-stadium cooling system ensures a comfortable viewing experience from every single seat.

Kai Tak Stadium also boasts a Fan Village area, open to all ticketholders. This gives fans an area to eat, drink and relax, while watching the matches on a big screen, enjoying live entertainment acts and connecting with our sponsors and partners.

The famed ‘South Stand’ has been recreated at Kai Tak Stadium – helping to ensure that the legacy of the event’s adult-only area lives on. In 2026, as always, the South Stand will be open to all General Admission ticketholders aged 18 and over on a first come, first served, basis.

What food and drink offerings will there be inside the stadium?

The Kai Tak Stadium features 28 food concession outlets and 4 bars. This offering includes a diverse selection of reasonably priced Chinese, Western and Asian cuisines.

As a commitment to the environment, all food and beverage will be served in sustainable packaging.

What facilities does Kai Tak Sports Park have for fans outside the stadium (e.g. bars, restaurants, retail)?

The 28-hectare entertainment precinct at Kai Tak Sports Park offers Sevens fans a new environment for the “post-match party”. There are over 230 retail outlets and 70 restaurants within walking distance.

Kai Tak Mall also offers a wellness centre, indoor adventure playground, 17.5-metre covered climbing wall and 40 lanes of bowling alleys for public rental.

Which MTR Stations best serve fans for access to Kai Tak Sports Park?

Kai Tak Sports Park is located near the Kai Tak MTR Station and Sung Wong Toi MTR Station. Fans are able to reach the precinct in a 10-minute walk from either station.

What other transport options are available near Kai Tak Sports Park?

In addition to the MTR, fans can take multiple bus routes and public light buses from nearby KTSP to various districts in Kowloon, Hong Kong Island and the New Territories. The park features a taxi stand and parking spaces (subject to availability) for coach buses and private cars. Nearby shopping malls in Kai Tak also offer public parking facilities.

Will there be ferries running from Hong Kong island to provide easy access to the venue?

What provision has the stadium in place for fans with accessibility needs?

The Kai Tak Stadium is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all guests. Some of the key accessibility features include:

What ways will fans be able to make payments inside the stadium?

All concession stands and bars within Kai Tak Stadium will be entirely cashless with the following digital payment methods accepted:

Ticketing

When can I buy tickets, and how much will they be?

Prices for three-day General Admission Hong Kong Sevens 2026 tickets will be HK $2,250 for adults. Three-day General Admission child tickets are available for HK $1,100 (aged 12 and under).

An 11% discount will be offered during the 24-hour early bird pre-sales on 11 November – from 11.11AM – coinciding with China’s Singles Day celebration, which is also the world’s largest physical and online retail shopping day.

For fans who cannot make the full weekend Single-Day tickets will also be available from 11 November via Klook. These are priced at HK$550 (Adult Friday), HK$1,250 (Adult Saturday), HK$1,250 (Adult Sunday) and HK$300 (Child Friday), HK$625 (Child Saturday), HK$625 (Child Sunday).

How are tickets purchased and issued?

All tickets are digital and will be available to purchase on tickets.hksevens.com.

Buyers must follow the instructions and access their tickets via the HKCR Ticketing app – available to download on both Apple Store and Google Play.

Are there children’s tickets?

Yes there are children’s tickets, available for ages 12 and under. Children aged 2 and under do not require a ticket.

Event Info

Which teams are coming to the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens?

Hong Kong will host the first of three World Championship events on the HSBC SVNS Series, and will feature 24 teams.

Men’s SVNS: New Zealand, Argentina, Australia, Fiji, France, Great Britain, Spain, South Africa + 4 Qualifiers from SVNS Division 2

Women’s SVNS: New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Fiji, France, Great Britain, Japan, USA + 4 Qualifiers from SVNS Division 2

The Melrose Claymores competition will also return, bringing the total of international teams participating in Hong Kong to 30, including the hometown favourites, the Hong Kong China Men’s and Women’s Sevens squads.

Pool draws and match schedules will be confirmed ahead of the event.

What’s the weekend schedule?

30 teams will take part in 72 matches across the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the Hong Kong Sevens. The rugby action will all be supported by opening ceremonies, live music and entertainment acts – with more details announced in the lead-up to the event.
