World Rugby has confirmed the destinations and dates for the 2026 HSBC SVNS Series – the top tier of a new three-division global Sevens model. Hong Kong will host the first of three World Championship rounds from 17-19 April 2026, with three days of competition featuring the world's best 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams.
The revamped Series features six regular-season rounds leading into a three-event HSBC SVNS World Championship, which will decide the line-up for the 2027 top tier.
The structure provides a clear pathway for promotion, with regional qualifiers able to reach the world stage within a single season.
Every round will host combined men’s and women’s events.

2026 Season Structure:
- HSBC SVNS Series: Dubai (29–30 Nov 2025), Cape Town (6–7 Dec 2025), Singapore (31 Jan–1 Feb 2026), Australia (7–8 Feb 2026), Vancouver (7–8 Mar 2026), USA (14–15 Mar 2026). The Australia and US event locations will be announced in due course.
- SVNS World Championship: Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens (17–19 Apr 2026), Valladolid (29–31 May 2026), Bordeaux (5–7 Jun 2026).
- HSBC SVNS 2: Feb – March 2026
- HSBC SVNS 3: Jan 2026*
*Hong Kong China Men and Women’s 7s will take part in the Asian Sevens Series in September and October as they attempt to qualify for HSBC SVNS 3.

Participating teams in the 2026 HSBC SVNS Series top level are:
- Women: Australia, Canada, Fiji, France, Great Britain, Japan, New Zealand, USA
- Men: Argentina, Australia, Fiji, France, Great Britain, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain
