1) Why did you postpone the event?
Uncertainties around the recent emergence of COVID-19 and especially the developing travel and meeting restrictions put in place as part of the positive global health response to the outbreak have unfortunately posed significant logistical complications for hosting the event in April. We believe that it is in the best interests of the tournament, the teams and officials and most importantly the fans to postpone the tournament while the situation resolves itself more fully.
2) What about tickets sold so far?
All tickets purchased through official channels for the tournament in April will be extended to and honoured for October. No physical tickets have been distributed to date. In the event fans are unable to attend in October they will be entitled to a full refund.
3) I applied to the HKRU Public Ballot for tickets to the April event, what happens there?
Given the postponement, the public ticket ballot draw will not be held as scheduled this week (W.C. 10.02.2020), those who have entered to date will be given an opportunity to transfer their ballot application to the October event. You will receive an email shortly outlining your options.
4) What if I have bought tickets through my rugby club?
All tickets purchased through official clubs, i.e. members of the HKRU, for the tournament in April will be extended to and honoured for October. Please contact your club for further details.
5) What about my tickets for the Carlsberg Clubhouse hospitality package?
